“1000 Rooms” is a series exploring how colour and intentional mis-registration influence the visual possibilities of CMYK screen printing. By experimenting with the transparency, vibrancy, and layering of inks, each print presents a distinct variation drawn from a single source image. The original photograph of the Palace of Westminster, a building said to contain over 1,100 rooms and 100 staircases, forms the basis and inspiration for the work.
