Evie Jade Green is a London-based artist working across photography, graphic design, and analogue print processes. Her practice is rooted in an interest in memory, archives, and the ways images and their meaning can change through time. Through her work, she explores how memory shapes identity while also remaining unstable and incomplete.
She frequently starts projects by interacting with archival photographs, which she then reimagines through experimental processes and mediums, in order to cultivate new contexts and narratives. She is particularly interested in the physicality of photo-objects, and how their mode of storage, and the environment they are kept in can alter their existence.
Alongside photography and digital design, her practice expands into a range of analogue methods including screen printing, letterpress, risograph printing, and book-making. More recently, she has developed an interest in artist books and self-publishing as a way of bringing together image-making, sequencing, and tactile processes into more intimate and personal forms
